At Atlantic Cove Sauna, the safety and wellbeing of our guests is our top priority. Please read these guidelines carefully before your visit.
Who Should Not Use the Sauna
Please do not book or use our sauna if any of the following apply to you:
You are pregnant (particularly in the first trimester) — consult your GP or midwife first
You have a serious or unstable heart condition
You have uncontrolled high or low blood pressure
You have epilepsy
You are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
You have a severe kidney condition
You have an active fever, infection, or contagious illness
You have recently had surgery or have open wounds
You have a skin condition that may be aggravated by heat
If in doubt, please consult your GP before booking.
General Safety Guidelines
Drink plenty of water before, during (if possible), and after your session
Do not eat a heavy meal within 1 hour before your session
Start with shorter rounds of 8–10 minutes, especially if you are new to sauna
Exit the sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, faint, nauseous, or unwell
Allow time to cool down between rounds — step outside or take a cool shower
Children under 16 are not permitted to use the sauna
Never use the sauna alone if you have any health concerns
